This is the first taste of what it can be like being a business owner, but is doesn’t have to be super confusing. Keeping things simple is the key here as well as surrounding yourself with mentors, experts and fellow business owners who all understand the struggle but have been there so can ‘unmuddy’ the waters for you.
My biggest success has been exactly that, surrounding myself with the right people. My biggest regret is not seeking those people out from the beginning. It’s not the entire answer to building a successful business as nothing will work like hard work. Just make this one piece of the puzzle, the centre piece, which everything else connects to.
Outsource things to enable you to grow faster. Outsource admin work, bookkeeping, accountancy. Get a business coach on board with you, look for government grants and loans available to you and don’t stop digging. These can all cost money for sure, but the cost of not having them or even doing it all yourself is far greater.
Take advice and guidance from people who have been there, learn from their mistakes and thrive from replicating their successes. Being the owner of a successful business is definitely attainable and if you’re determined enough you will get there, but why not take the shortest route?
